About Crossfit Norfolk
What is CrossFit?
Crossfit is a strength and conditioning program that focuses on molding men and women into equal parts gymnasts, Olympic weightlifters, and multi-modal sprinters. Through the combined capacities of the weightlifter and gymnast we challenge the physical abilities of men and women and enhance their ability to perform well at all physical tasks. Crossfit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of the ten components of fitness: endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, speed, agility, balance, and accuracy. By combining these skills in infinitely varying combinations at high intensity through interval training, Crossfit has successfully delivered results at every level.
Pretty generic, right? But, all crossfit gyms aren’t created equal. CFN is a place where strangers become friends, where brothers and sisters bond over a productive activity, where husband and wife encourage each other to drive through those heels, where no shoes is no problem, where a mother of three can be overheard saying, “This is too light!!” Sure, the movements that Crossfit recommends are very demanding and athletic but the experience is a heck of a lot of fun!
